Continental Congress 2009
It's been ten days since my last blogpost. When I last left you, things at the Congress had heated up to almost a frenzy. Those who had infiltrated the organization and attempted to thwart the efforts of Good-Hearted Patriots to regain and maintain their Beloved Republic were falling apart, and then there was a 'mass exodus' of many of the people that had been making obfuscation an art form. It didn't matter. We had a job to do, and NOTHING was to deter us - not even the FEAR that was tried in a further attempt to break up the work at hand. That didn't wash either, and all their meager attempts only postponed the finished product from being distributed to the Public. Big deal. The Articles of Freedom are done. they have yet to be polished into the proper form and font, with style and flow of information maximized. The Administration has been combing over it for days now, and had expected the Articles to be up on the web by now. Soon, very soon. It better get up and fast, or I will begin to READ the copy I have into YouTube! That's right, Providence has provided me the ONLY finished, signed copy of the first 'rough draft' of the Articles of Freedom! I have been showing them to fellow Patriots here in Phoenix, AND HAVE YET TO NOT SEE TEARS OF JOY AND RELIEF STREAM DOWN FACES WHEN THEY TOUCH THIS historical document! Then they want a picture of them with it, because I won't have this for long - it has to be preserved and put into the National Archives with all the Pledge Signatures we signed at the Closing Ceremony. If you are in the Phoenix Metropolitan area, this Thursday at the Freedom's Phoenix Workshop (SW Corner of 7th Avenue and Indian School Road - rear entrance) at 7:00 p.m., I will be meeting with anyone interested in hearing my take on the Continental Congress 2009, complete with pictures, videos, webcasts, and THE ACTUAL DOCUMENT ITSELF! There will be people that will try to minimize, belittle, laugh at, and subvert The Articles, and there is a 'media blackout' that is worse than what we saw during the Ron Paul Campaign. We had people telling us that when they called CNN, they were told in no uncertain terms "Yes, we KNOW about the Continental Congress 2009 - we are getting a THOUSAND CALLS AN HOUR!!!" and they hang up before the question can be asked "THEN WHY AREN'T YOU REPORTING IT!?!" This document is pure dynamite! It details the most egregious violations to the Law of the Land, and gives not only instructions to the President, U.S.Congress, and the States, but includes 'Civic Actions" the People can do to correct these violations - IF THEY ARE WILLING TO DO THE WORK IT WILL TAKE TO ACCOMPLISH THE MISSION. View the PREAMBLE, and the Table of Contents here: http://www.cc2009.us/aof I get CHILLS every time I read it! Ed

Continental Congress 2009
What a day! So much went on and it's late, but I have to get you some words. Howard Blitz had an emergency of some kind and had to fly home this morning - I hope everything's alright. He wouldn't say what the matter was, so I just carried on. Sylvia had her day at the table without Howard and I there, and I have no idea what went on or how she voted (we are of opposite opinions quite often). I spent the morning with Jay going over our report after Bob went over it and pointed some things out. When we finally got done with it, it took about an hour or so for it to show up on the docket. (I might have pissed off some people, but when we were debating the content of the report I REFUSED to allow ANY 'idea' or 'feeling' that something was wrong or unjust - IF THEY COULDN'T CITE THE PART OF THE CONSTITUTION THAT WAS VIOLATED. It was even more than that because since we were holding the President to "take care that the laws are faithfully executed" that included the USC and the CFR - and they still couldn't cite that - so they walked away. The document we produced was SO TIGHT, that it took EIGHT FUCKING MINUTES from the time 1) our Chairman presented our report, 2) one Delegate rose to attempt to amend it and didn't even get a second, 3) I was standing first in line already so I could 'Call the Question", and it passed UNANIMOUSLY!!! I said loudly "Now THAT'S how it's DONE!" You should have seen Jay - he's the tall drink of water with the black cowboy hat - He had such a grin you'da thought he had a canary in his maw! At lunch, I caught President Badnarik and asked him if there were any Committees that hadn't completed their report, and that I was willing to assist in whatever capacity I was needed. He said yes, that the "Property Clauses" Committee was still on their first draft, but he didn't know where they Met. He told me who the Chairman was, and I caught him before I left the dining room. After dinner, the delegates went back to the floor, and I went to go look for the "Property Clause" Committee. They were right where the Chairman said. I sat down and exchanged some plesantries, and started looking at what they had produced. There was a lot of taking phrases or even paragraphs out of agenda 21 pamphlets, and inserting them into the Committee report. I made some suggestions, but they acted like it was good enough the way it was, and that they were working. So what I did was state that the map Michael Shaw showed us at the Presentation on Property Clause was scary enough to make the point. The Chairman produced a copy of the Agenda 21 pamphlet and showed me the same chart, and I said "I'll see what I can do." I took it into the Computer Center and tried one of their copiers, and it looked like crap. I ran back to the Committee, and got my bag and my laptop, and headed back to the Center. I set up may laptop, and then set up my Canon Video/Photo camera. With one leg extended and lodged into the hole you put the computer wire, I had the camera pointed to the desk, and took a photo without the Legend and only the map. I then took another with the references to the other Speaker we heard - Michael Coffman - printed below the map. The computers the hotel owns and provides for guest use are dinosaurs, and I had found out with the first Committee I had to save my documents in windows 97-2003 because they won't recognize anything created with anything newer, so, I imported the pics onto my laptop, and e-mailed them to myself - along with the photo of the same chart I took during the Presentation. I was just about to hit print when Mr. Chairman wheels around the corner and asked me if I had come up with anything yet (this was about 20 minutes later I approximate). I told him "what did you expect? That I'd come back with NOTHING!?! He departed, and by the time I had printed out a few copies, he rounds the corner again with two people in tow (presumedly to inspect my work). I said they were done and lets go back to where we were sitting. When I laid these fine copies they were blown away! Heh heh, Mission Accomplished. Stupid me - now it's 3:50 a.m. and I HAVE to crash. Working for you, Ed

Man have I been busy! I've been in Committee constantly since my last post - you're better off watching my YouTubes at my Psychictaxi Channel. I'm on the Delegation floor and we've been working on trying to pass the reports and suggestions of the various Committees. So far I've worked specifically on the Second Amendment/Militia/Firearms Committee, and the Faithfully Execute Committee, and this morning, for the first time, our Committee Report passed with only one attempt to amend, and it did not receive a second - and it passed UNANIMOUSLY!!! It only took EIGHT MINUTES from submission to acceptance, and we went on to the next report. I swear, if people would get their egos and special interests out of the way and concentrate on submitting a bare language, well-referenced (with citations) document that is correct in spelling, grammer, syntax, and includes nothing that can be misconstrued as vague or under the purview of another body or entity, we could be much further ahead than we are today. My YouTubes are found at http://www.youtube.com/user/Psychictaxi .

Continental Congress 2009
Well well well! After searching every nook and cranny of the hotel expanse from the meeting room out by the golf course to the other side where we eat meals looking for the 'Grand Jury Caucus', I can't find them. The various Committees hammering out their submissions to the Committee of the Whole are literally scattered everywhere. In most of the ones I saw while looking were either topics that I had no interest to work on, or had more than enough people to do what was required, and I would be using my time unwisely. Instead, I know I should be either doing laundry, getting some catch-up sleep, walking to the Target I heard isn't too far ( I couldn't bring my shampoo, cream rinse, or toothpaste on the plane and I'm using hotel freebies), but I try to take every opportunity to distribute announcements of the Congress online, posting pictures, updating my blog here, commenting at www.Freedomsphoenix.com , and recording "Ed's Daily Report" found there, and on the Ron Paul MeetUp site. I am attempting to solve problems that I see going on, and it's a real sticky wicket. Fortunately, I have been associating with Bob Schultz and Michael Badnarik for many years now and they know me, and know how I am . They know when it comes to principles, I am steadfast in my resolve to follow my conscience and do the right thing all the time every time. When I take an absolute hard line and others "try to talk some sense into me" (like 43 times in the last two days) I stick to my guns and don't back down an inch. The wildest thing about it all is, they keep telling me "I'm right! BUT... (insert bullshit reason to sacrifice your integrity for POWER here)". "but I'll use the Ring for GOOD!" We've heard that line before. I am so thankfull for the experience I gained at the 2008 LNC in Denver! It opened my eyes wide and gave me pointers on not only what to look for, but how to properly battle it. I am going to attempt to remain here as long as I possibly can. It all depends on the responses I get from the unnamed persons I have to work with - either things I see that aren't right get fixed by them, or get fixed by me. Their choice.

Stick a fork in me - I'm done! You better be on your toes - My video report is in the same place as yesterday - I can't stay up any longer. I also uploaded a pantload of pictures, but it will take until tomorrow before they're posted. Unless you get lucky. This morning we heard from Joe Bannister and Jeffrey Dickstein - his defense attorney. Joe was a IRS Criminal Investigative Division - Special Agent, until he asked where in the code it requires a tax on labor, and was answered with a request for his resignation. In the afternoon, we heard from Orly Taitz on 'Citizenship". It was cool. ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..................

It was excellent - I how you're watching all this because I'm amazed they've allowed us to go this far. Well, we're off to Subcommittees.

Continental Congress 2009
Five days! Thats how long since I made a blog post here. No wonder. When I got the e-mail saying that Ground Transportation was not going to be available to the delegates upon arrival at St Charles, I said "Oh HELL no!" When I saw what two people were paying for a towncar ride 40+ miles I told Admin that for the same price i could rent a van when I arrive at 9:00 a.m. at Midway, I could feasibly transfer 24 Delegates myself before the proceedings begin at 2, and that must have made some sense to someone because I was then told that Bob would spring for a couple of vans. At that time, I offered my professional services as a Dispatcher in the transportation field (I have been transferring people for decades), I was sent the spreadsheet of the information sent in by the Delegates. It was pretty extensive, and quite a bit WRONG in many cases. After about the tenth person said they were driving and they had no idea why it said they were flying, I doubled my efforts. By the third day, I had contacted everyone but seven people, and I got ahold of them the following day. I had a lot to take care of before I left home, and didn't get half of that done, either. I got on a plane at 1:35 a.m. last night. I was supposed to depart at 12:45, but the flight was delayed. That didn't really hurt me any, because I was due for a two-hour layover in Atlanta. I ended up only being there a bout 45 minutes, and arrived Midway Chicago at 9:05 a.m. right on time. I was picked up by a wonderful local named Robin. With Vince Pertoso of Virginia picked up next, we couldn't contact a third we were looking for. After three times around the terminal, Robin said he would get him on the return, and off we went. Upon arrival at the Hotel, there was a flurry of activity to get things set up and everyone registered. It took an hour longer than expected, and that threw the rest of the evening off by one hour, and by the time we were finished with the 'pomp & circumstance', we finished at about 10 p.m. I was supposed to meet with several Delegates regarding the Tenth Amendment issue, but after two tours through the lobby, I decided to get some change, buy a few Pepsi's, and retire to the room. I got to meet my roommate Delegate Larry Graves of Oregon. Pretty cool guy - I'm glad I didn't get stuck with some problem, and there were a lot of them to choose from! I can see we are going to get along famously. It took way too long to get a webcam video I shot uploaded to YouTube (I'm tired) but I got it. It's a good little rant, mainly because I was approached just before the end of the evening about my laptop and my videocamera. I was told I 'wasn't supposed to have it'. My ass. I'm sure it will be discussed first thing tomorrow, and we'll see how long I last here if they want to pull anything. i'm not playing around here - everything has to be by the book, has to jive with what we are doing here, and it has to be in line with what my constitutents at home think and feel. That's WHY I have instant messaging set up, and I want to get what's actually happening to the people. That's the way it SHOULD be with our current Reps and Senators. The fear that someone might take offence at does NOT override the actual participation of the people that are supposed to be represented! The stupid part is that I could be capturing the webstream that WTP is putting out, and see the exact same footage! Anyway, here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AO-y7znmAs I need some sleep, and tomorrow starts at 6 a.m. I will try to get a video up as well as posting here every day. With Michael Badnarik as President of the Congress, it should get real good real fast, so make sure you stay tuned. We're about to make headway. Ed

Continental Congress 2009
I attended a pot-luck dinner for the Remember Remember the Fifth of November where they projected V For Vendetta on a big screen. I get something new out of this film every time I see it. I didn't remember them saying "avian flu" in the background of one of the TV reports. Natalie Portman was great in this. We had quite a discussion about the Continental Congress while eating before the movie. I explained some basic things that should be anyone's foundational understanding of Constitutional issues and Joan said that's why she was glad I was going - she knew I'd strive to try and do the right thing. Sylvia and Barry were both there, that was nice. We had about 30 people show up for this one - but then again Nov 5th has been special for us for years now. Funny, everywhere I went today (with my hat and my mask) everyone had some story about how they saw someone doing something in Guy Fawkes attire. That pleased me no end. I want to make comment concerning ground transportation to and from the airport and hotel but I'm tired and I don't want to say anything I'd regret later, so I think I'll just head off for bed instead. Less than a week now before I depart - the air starts to tingle...
