I just finished uploading 4 videos - 2 from Saturday's Global March and 2 from the 2008 LNC.  Check 'em out:

It took forever and Saturdays' weren't perfect, but you get the idea.  I feel good about them.

Enjoy.

Dinner was especially good last night, and I laid down for a little nap afterwards that extended until about half an hour ago - and now I have a spare moment for looking up a thing or two related to my upcoming participation at the Libertarian National Convention in St. Louis this Memorial Day weekend.  Rare thing for me are spare moments as you can tell by the sparse postings here on my blog.

When I got to the schedule, I noticed Bob Barr as 'Keynote', and my mind went through a ten-minute scenario of me, with my 'V' mask on, standing up to ask him, well, all kinds of things and ending up being physically removed from the room after giving them every last piece of my mind on several issues.  It scared me for a moment, but not only can I see it happening, I am one of the few people on Earth right now with the cajones to pull it off.

Normally I would keep thoughts like this to myself, but besides Chris (and maybe a spook or two) I don't know who reads what I write here.  With as few comments as I get I feel a little more lax about what I divulge, probably to my detriment, but, what the hell - you only live once (that's all I have solid proof of right now, anyways).

While I'm here, I might as well comment on April 19th.  Patriot's Day.  Second Amendment March and Articles of Freedom National Dedication Ceremony - both at the Arizona State Capitol.  It was called a 'Freedom Rally', and it was pretty cool - for a small gathering.  Here's what I wrote for the We The People website:

Arizona State Capitol Hosts Historic Event
By Ed Vallejo – Arizona Coordinator for WTP Foundation
In conjunction with the Second Amendment March, there was a “Freedom Rally” held on the Senate lawn of the Arizona State Capitol this past Patriot’s Day, where a number of Arizonans listened to speeches by Second Amendment supporters and ate from ‘sack lunches’ – all while bearing arms.
This was followed by an “Articles Of Freedom National Dedication Ceremony” for which I served as Master of Ceremonies for the remainder of the afternoon (armed as well).   The We the People Foundation for Constitutional Education had presented the States with an austere Program for us to use, and I based the Arizona Program on their outline.
I began by introducing myself to the audience along with fellow Delegate Sylvia Boutillier, and proceeded into the Dedication To The Founding Fathers.
When I was finished, I gave the signal to Brandon Smith, Son of Maricopa County Coordinator Sterling Smith, to bring in The Colors (armed). I explained to the crowd that we were fortunate to have the Second American Revolution Flag that I brought back from the Continental Congress to use for the days’ Ceremony. I was moved, personally. I then asked his father, Sterling, to read The Patriot’s Prayer.
When the Prayer was finished, I asked the audience how many times they had been to an event where when it came time for the National Anthem that quite often there would be loud music on speaker systems and few people actually singing? I told them today would be different. Today, we would fill the air with our own voices, and proceeded to sing the Star Spangled Banner – a cappella!
I did not sing alone. I admit that many were timid to begin with, but as we went on, people’s voices got stronger. More people joined in. It got louder, and by the time we were done, everyone was singing. I had had the feeling that not using any recordings would personalize the Ceremony, but I was surprised at just how involved people had gotten, and it felt really good.
We followed the National Anthem with The Pledge of Allegiance and The American’s Creed (even though there was discussion about not using the Creed because of the offensiveness of the line “A DEMOCRACY IN A REPUBLIC”).
Bill Terhune of Lake Havasu City then read from the writings of George Washington, and then Lavvy Vernere of Phoenix read the Statement of Purpose. I then led the audience in taking The Pledge. It was at this point, I ‘deviated from the script’. I had two main reasons for doing this.
Before I found out there was a suggested Program, I had sat down and wrote a speech, and wanted to use some of it if we had time (which we did). I also knew ahead of time that we were combining with the ‘Gun Crowd’, which pleased me to no end being that not only was I known in the Phoenix area as an ‘open carrier’, I also served on the ’Firearms, Militia, and Second Amendment Committee’ at the Continental Congress, and helped craft some of the language in Article 4. This was an opportunity too good to pass up. I used some of the speech I wrote – which ended with me reading Article 4 in its entirety. They liked it.
By the time they were done cheering me reading ‘abolish this’ and ‘repeal that’, I resumed with the list of Elected Officials to be served that day, and read the conclusion of the Program - followed by leading the cheers “GOD, SAVE OUR CONSTITUTION!”, “GOD, SAVE AMERICA”, and “LET FREEDOM RING” three times each.
After the Ceremony was over, I invited those who wanted to participate in the Service of the Articles to follow me back to our table, and took the flag from the stand and departed. Once back at the table we had set up to distribute literature, we separated into several Teams in order to cover more ground.
By the end of the day, TEN people were officially served, and I had the good fortune to be the first to serve someone. While I was distributing copies to the Teams, State Representative Carl Seel walked up to the crowd and started shaking hands. I dropped what I was doing and grabbed a copy and a cover page and jumped up (startling those around me) and proceeded to serve Rep. Seel in front of everyone! When I asked him for his signature, he laughingly asked “I don’t have to go to court now or anything, do I?” and I told him no, he was just signing that he received the information, and he gladly signed. I turned to the Teams and said “It’s that easy!”   That seemed to ‘prime their pumps’, and they all sprang into action.
I stayed at the table to receive proof of deliveries while some teams went into the Capitol Building itself, and others departed for Senators’ offices in other parts of town. Once all the Servers at the Capitol had finished, we packed up what we hadn’t handed out, picked up all the signs and banners, and took the table and materials back to our Activist Center – The Freedom’s Phoenix Workshop.
Sometime later that evening, the last proof of delivery page was dropped off at my home. The six Officials that We The People wanted specifically served – plus four more – had been served, and plans for more had been discussed. Those not scheduled to be personally served will be done so by Certified Mail. It was a good day in Arizona.
Let’s get it ON.

This is a good example of why I don't write here that often - I'm out DOING.  I sure wish more people would get out and DO also.  It would make life a lot easier for people like me who rarely have a 'spare moment'.

I hope things are well with you, Chris.

Category: me, as a person

I'm tired - mentally and financially.  I could make complaints about my physical condition, but why bother?  At 50 that can be expected considering what I've put my body through the last few months, and even the last year or two as well.  I don't know what the near future has in store for me, but I have so much to do both activism wise and family wise that the mind wants to shut down for repairs, and I don't have the luxury of allowing that.

It isn't so much sleep as it is the relentless pressure between personal demands and opportunities that would be a shame to not be taken advantage of.  I'm still driven, but the motor wears thin.

I'm almost tempted to turn on the televison...

HA HA - I got ya!  I'd never get to that level - I just visited a friend that is a shut-in, and married to the thing.  It's fun sometimes (and rejuvenating because of the underlying bs that is sooo obvious when you don't watch it) just watching someone cook something I won't eat, and waste some space and time just for the sake of being.

Reminds me when I was young and read a lot of science fiction.

I'll come back soon and delve into the recent developments concerning The Articles of Freedom, but not today.

Soon.

I got a friend request and came here to accept it, and thought I had better give an update because it's been a while and I've been quite busy.

There should be a FINAL version of THE ARTICLES OF FREEDOM coming from the We The People Foundation very soon.  The version we released on Christmas Eve has not been stamped 'Authorized' yet, and the WTP Organizers and the CC2009 Chain-of-Command are in the throes of 'making everyone happy' (as if that were ever possible LOL).

A tenative date of April 19th (again, not 'official' yet - I'll let you know when it has been decided) has been set for 'serving' the Articles to all elected Representatives of The People at all levels - at the same time in all 50 states plus D.C.  That should be interesting!

Until this final version comes out, keep distributing the Christas Eve Miracle Version around - there shouldn't be too much difference in the two.

It's all the same idea - ACCOUNTABILITY!

What a weekend!

I attended the 2009 Freedom Summit put on by Ernie Hancock and Freedom's Phoenix the past weekend, and am I glad I did.  The speaker list was outstanding, with a long list of luminaries including Ernie Hancock, Marc Victor, David Nolan, Butler Schaffer, Stewart Rhodes, Ernie, Judge John Buttrick, Tom Woods, Joel Skousen, Ernie, John Taylor Gatto, Ernie, Charles Goyette, Congressman RON PAUL, Ernie, John Stadtmiller, Michael Maresco, Boston T. Party, Adam Kokesh, Bud Burrell, and Ernie.  I might have forgotten someone - if I did, my sincere apologies!  The above list are the people I personally heard speak.

I'm in the process now of sorting out pictures (about 350) and uploading them - for right now thought here is the photo album of the 'SignWave' we had at lunchtime on Saturday with a friend of ours...

www.meetup.com/Ron-Paul-and-his-Campaign-for-Liberty-R3VOLUTION/photos/777926/

Keep watch on that site - the rest should be uploaded by later today (no promises!  My phone won't stop ringing - which is a good thing!).

Articles of Freedom update - I got the Admin reviewed version a few days ago and there were a few problems that I am in the process of working out, and I'm not the only one.  It will be a few more days before it gets finalized and goes out to the public.  If I have anything to say about the process it will take even longer, but I won't go into that now.  You can hear it on my latest YouTube Report from the Summit: www.youtube.com/watch  .

Working for you,

Ed

I was informed (unofficially) this morning that I should be receiving the Article of Freedom today for review.  I will be comparing the certified copies with the proofread version to insure there has been no changes of anything subsatntial - only corrections for spelling, puntuation, and arrangement for fluidity.  When that has been verified, I believe it will go out to all the delegates for final review, and hopefully, distribution.

I was reminded in an e-mail from the Chief-of-Staff Judith Whitmore (what a Grand Lady!) that it was several days before the results of the First Continental Congress was in the hands of the Colonists.  Granted, they didn't have the instant-communication devices we do today, but there is still a certain amount of 'cross checking' that has to be done on ANY output of a large Organization - if for no other reason than for the LEGAL DEPARTMENT to ok the final product.

We must be as careful as any large group of individuals - if not more considering the controversial nature of our undertakings.

I would have LOVED to come home with printed copies, but that just wasn't the case.  We finished with our 'first rough draft' after Midnight Sunday morning - well after the Closing Ceremonies were concluded on Saturday.

There's nothing 'secret' or 'nefarious' - it's a process that must be completed before the barn door gets opened, and everyone gazes at the August Stallion...

It's been ten days since my last blogpost.

When I last left you, things at the Congress had heated up to almost a frenzy.  Those who had infiltrated the organization and attempted to thwart the efforts of Good-Hearted Patriots to regain and maintain their Beloved Republic were falling apart, and then there was a 'mass exodus' of many of the people that had been making obfuscation an art form. It didn't matter.  We had a job to do, and NOTHING was to deter us - not even the FEAR that was tried in a further attempt to break up the work at hand.  That didn't wash either, and all their meager attempts only postponed the finished product from being distributed to the Public.  Big deal.  The Articles of Freedom are done.  they have yet to be polished into the proper form and font, with style and flow of information maximized.  The Administration has been combing over it for days now, and  had expected the Articles to be up on the web by now.

Soon, very soon.  It better get up and fast, or I will begin to READ the copy I have into YouTube!  That's right, Providence has provided me the ONLY finished, signed copy of the first 'rough draft' of the Articles of Freedom!  I have been showing them to fellow Patriots here in Phoenix, AND HAVE YET TO NOT SEE TEARS OF JOY AND RELIEF STREAM DOWN FACES WHEN THEY TOUCH THIS historical document!  Then they want a picture of them with it, because I won't have this for long - it has to be preserved and put into the National Archives with all the Pledge Signatures we signed at the Closing Ceremony.

If you are in the Phoenix Metropolitan area, this Thursday at the Freedom's Phoenix Workshop (SW Corner of 7th Avenue and Indian School Road - rear entrance) at 7:00 p.m., I will be meeting with anyone interested in hearing my take on the Continental Congress 2009, complete with pictures, videos, webcasts, and THE ACTUAL DOCUMENT ITSELF!

There will be people that will try to minimize, belittle, laugh at, and subvert The Articles, and there is a 'media blackout' that is worse than what we saw during the Ron Paul Campaign.  We had people telling us that when they called CNN, they were told in no uncertain terms "Yes, we KNOW about the Continental Congress 2009 - we are getting a THOUSAND CALLS AN HOUR!!!" and they hang up before the question can be asked "THEN WHY AREN'T YOU REPORTING IT!?!"

This document is pure dynamite!  It details the most egregious violations to the Law of the Land, and gives not only instructions to the President, U.S.Congress, and the States, but includes 'Civic Actions" the People can do to correct these violations - IF THEY ARE WILLING TO DO THE WORK IT WILL TAKE TO ACCOMPLISH THE MISSION.

What a day!  So much went on and it's late, but I have to get you some words.  Howard Blitz had an emergency of some kind and had to fly home this morning - I hope everything's alright.  He wouldn't say what the matter was, so I just carried on.

Sylvia had her day at the table without Howard and I there, and I have no idea what went on or how she voted (we are of opposite opinions quite often).  I spent the morning with Jay going over our report after Bob went over it and pointed some things out.  When we finally got done with it, it took about an hour or so for it to show up on the docket.  (I might have pissed off some people, but when we were debating the content of the report I REFUSED to allow ANY 'idea' or 'feeling' that something was wrong or unjust - IF THEY COULDN'T CITE THE PART OF THE CONSTITUTION THAT WAS VIOLATED.  It was even more than that because since we were holding the President to "take care that the laws are faithfully executed" that included the USC and the CFR - and they still couldn't cite that - so they walked away.  The document we produced was SO TIGHT, that it took EIGHT FUCKING MINUTES from the time 1) our Chairman presented our report, 2) one Delegate rose to attempt to amend it and didn't even get a second, 3) I was standing first in line already so I could 'Call the Question", and it passed UNANIMOUSLY!!!  I said loudly "Now THAT'S how it's DONE!"  You should have seen Jay - he's the tall drink of water with the black cowboy hat - He had such a grin you'da thought he had a canary in his maw!

At lunch, I caught President Badnarik and asked him if there were any Committees that hadn't completed their report, and that I was willing to assist in whatever capacity I was needed.  He said yes, that the "Property Clauses" Committee was still on their first draft, but he didn't know where they Met.  He told me who the Chairman was, and I caught him before I left the dining room.

After dinner, the delegates went back to the floor, and I went to go look for the "Property Clause" Committee.  They were right where the Chairman said.  I sat down and exchanged some plesantries, and started looking at what they had produced.  There was a lot of taking phrases or even paragraphs out of agenda 21 pamphlets, and inserting them into the Committee report.  I made some suggestions, but they acted like it was good enough the way it was, and that they were working.  So what I did was state that the map Michael Shaw showed us at the Presentation on Property Clause was scary enough to make the point.  The Chairman produced a copy of the Agenda 21 pamphlet and showed me the same chart, and I said "I'll see what I can do."

I took it into the Computer Center and tried one of their copiers, and it looked like crap.  I ran back to the Committee, and got my bag and my laptop, and headed back to the Center.  I set up may laptop, and then set up my Canon Video/Photo camera.  With one leg extended and lodged into the hole you put the computer wire, I had the camera pointed to the desk, and took a photo without the Legend and only the map.  I then took another with the references to the other Speaker we heard - Michael Coffman - printed below the map.

The computers the hotel owns and provides for guest use are dinosaurs, and I had found out with the first Committee I had to save my documents in windows 97-2003 because they won't recognize anything created with anything newer, so, I imported the pics onto my laptop, and e-mailed them to myself - along with the photo of the same chart I took during the Presentation.  I was just about to hit print when Mr. Chairman wheels around the corner and asked me if I had come up with anything yet (this was about 20 minutes later I approximate).  I told him "what did you expect?  That I'd come back with NOTHING!?!  He departed, and by the time I had printed out a few copies, he rounds the corner again with two people in tow (presumedly to inspect my work).  I said they were done and lets go back to where we were sitting.  When I laid these fine copies they were blown away!  Heh heh, Mission Accomplished.

Stupid me - now it's 3:50 a.m. and I HAVE to crash.

Working for you,

Ed
