Alright folks, the heat is on but we need to keep the pressure up. "Operation Pink Slip," an HR 1207 lobbying campaign, is intended to do just that. We are at 124 cosponsors, and counting, but attaining 218 should guarantee this bill makes it out of committee. It's time we hit our Representatives with all of the ammo and man (and woman) power we have to push the "Federal Transparency Act of 2009" on to the House floor. Exposing the fraudulent actions of the Federal Reserve via a full and independent audit may be one of the most important bills of our lifetime. Now is the time where we demonstrate to our Representatives in every district just how much this bill means to us and the lengths we are willing to go to fight for it.
The plan is simple. Consistently bombard our Rep. in every district with every tool available to us in the hopes they will cosponsor the bill. Below, a blueprint has been drawn up for you, which should serve as a loose set of instructions to follow. Feel free to modify them in any way you see fit in order to pinpoint your feelings or the message your Rep. abides by. I have uploaded all of the necessary files for you to perform these quick tasks and that URL will be provided for you below. Put together a team in your district or locate your local Campaign for Liberty groups to achieve these tasks. Promote this event in any way possible, especially through the various avenues provided by the internet, so it will be most effective. After you have changed your Representatives mind and they have now become a cosponsor, be sure to thank them for doing the right thing by the people. If your Rep. is already a cosponsor, please join the efforts in a neighboring congressional district.
Code Name: OPERATION PINK SLIP
Target = Representatives who have not cosponsored HR 1207 in your congressional district or neighboring districts.
Duration = Begins immediately and ends when the bill has made it to the House floor at which time we will begin another lobbying campaign. All phases are to be consistently performed throughout the term of the operation.

Note to organizers - Although the effectiveness in doing ALL of these phases is recommended, they are not required and can be done in any order. Time to let your voice be heard loud and clear. Hit them hard from all angles.

PHASE #1 - Petition Drive (Hard Copy)
This is the most crucial aspect of the operation. Build a small team to gather signatures once a week in each chosen district. Make the goal to gather at least 30 signatures for the day. If a nearby Rep. is on the Financial Services Committee, make them your first priority. Make copies of the all petitions so they can be dispersed in the following two ways:

PHASE #2 - "You're Fired" Pink Slip Postcard
After someone has signed the petition, hand him/her a pre-addressed (For the Rep. in the CD you are working) Pink Slip Postcard or they can fill out their address information and the organizer can then mails the postcards off. These post cards explain to the Rep. that they will lose votes in 2010 if they do not support HR 1207. The postcards can be handed out by any other means as well. Also, it may be a good idea to set a date for the postcards to be mailed off at the same time.

PHASE #3 - Poster Blitz
When handing over the petition copies, or at any other time, hang posters surrounding the Congressional Office of the targeted Rep. that inform the public of their Rep.'s lack of goodwill for the people. The poster reads as an "Order of Termination" notice as well as listing some of the things the targeted Rep. essentially "believes" in due to their lack of support for HR 1207. The file has been written in such a way that only the name must be changed to the targeted Rep. The idea is for the workers in that office to see these posters on a daily basis as they head to work. We are hoping that this will lead to the belief that these posters are everywhere!

PHASE #4 - Email Bomb
Phase four is a simple measure that can be done from the comfort of home in less than 5 minutes. Once a day have every HR 1207 supporter in your area email their Representatives via the "Audit the Fed" Campaign on DownsizeDc.org. These emails have a short write up done by the site and also have an area for the one emailing their Rep. to add their own two-sense. The emails are sent to the person's Rep. as well as the Senators for the given state.

PHASE #5 - Petition Drive (Online)

Phase #6 - Melt the Switchboard
As often as possible, call your Rep. to keep them feeling the heat. Make it a goal to actually speak with them about their thoughts regarding this piece of legislation. Until you can do so, don't be afraid to leave a message every time you call. You can also choose one a day a week where your local group gets together to call them one after the other.

PHASE #7 - Lobby Time
Put the HR 1207 Lobbying Pack in the hands of as many people as possible. The pack must be filled out by each individual and mailed off to their own Representative and it also includes a printed copy of the bill to educate the Rep. This Word document can be edited to make it slightly more personal for the sender. There are fields that have been left blank that require the sender to fill out before sending. All in all it is quick and painless.

PHASE #8 - A Warm Thank You.
For the Rep.'s you have swayed to support this all too important bill, be sure to send them, in some way, shape or form, a humble "Thank You!"
These tasks seem a bit overwhelming on paper but I assure you they are not as hard as they seem and who said liberty wouldn’t require a little work. On another note, to all of the "Freedom Fighters" out there, give yourself a pat on the back for all of the wonderful efforts you have put in to gain steam for HR 1207! This bill has truly proven the power is in the people. We have won many battles thus far but the war is far from over so it's time to demonstrate the diligence and tenacity of the people. Wars aren't won by the strongest, most powerful, richest nor most intelligent people, they are won by those who can endure the longest and liberty endures forever!
